Custom Projects
What can I bring to OliPoly?
A sketch, photo, child’s drawing, broken part, existing file, logo, measurement, or simple description is enough to begin.
How does a project begin?
Share what you know through the project form. OliPoly reviews the idea and prepares an estimate or quote before production.
Can you help with design?
Yes. Design and CAD help can be included when the object does not yet exist as a printable file.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on design, revisions, material, quantity, print time, and finishing. Your quote includes the best current estimate.
Original Designs
What are OliPoly Originals?
OliPoly-designed objects developed from studio ideas and selected custom-project learnings—made to be enjoyed more than once.
Can I buy work shown in the Studio?
The Studio is not currently a storefront. If a piece inspires you, start a project and reference it.
Can Originals be personalized?
Some future designs may support names, colors, or controlled options. Available choices will be stated clearly.
Materials
What materials do you use?
Most work uses PLA or PETG selected for appearance and use. Other materials may be considered when a project calls for different properties.
Will I see layer lines?
Yes. Layer lines are a normal part of 3D printing and their visibility varies with geometry, color, orientation, and finish.
Can parts be used outdoors or in heat?
Sometimes. Tell OliPoly about sun, moisture, heat, load, or chemicals early so suitability can be discussed.
Are colors exact?
Screens, filament batches, and lighting can shift appearance. Brand-critical matching should be discussed before approval.
Business / PO Orders
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes. Approved business work can follow quote → PO → invoice terms, with W-9, tax-exempt, and vendor-setup support when needed.
Can you produce repeat batches?
Yes. Saved files, specifications, recipes, and revision notes support consistent repeat small-batch production.
Do you make prototypes and functional parts?
Yes. Fit checks, concept models, replacement-style parts, fixtures, branded pieces, and low-volume production are within scope.
When is payment due?
Retail projects may require a deposit or payment before fulfillment. Approved business orders may use agreed invoice or PO terms.
Fundraisers
Can OliPoly create a fundraiser?
Yes. Campaigns can combine a focused product set, organization colors, optional personalization, deadlines, and coordinated fulfillment.
Who collects payment?
The organization may collect directly, or OliPoly may collect when appropriate. Each campaign clearly states who receives payment.
Can items be personalized?
When allowed, names or controlled options can be offered for an additional amount.
How are orders delivered?
Most campaigns use coordinated organization pickup, with event stock, local pickup, delivery, or shipping defined per campaign.
Shipping & Pickup
Where is pickup?
Pickup is arranged with the customer in or near Aurora, Ohio. Exact location and timing are provided when ready.
Do you ship?
Yes, when the object can be packaged safely. Shipping and packaging are included in the quote when applicable.
How do I track an order?
Enter your OP-###### number on the order tracker for customer-safe production, payment, and fulfillment updates.
What if something arrives damaged?
Email OliPoly promptly with your order number, photos, and a description so the issue can be reviewed.
